Page of Pentacles, 4 of Wands [reversed], Page of Cups
Hello friend, and welcome to my kitchen table ♥️ The standard “general reading, will not resonate for everyone” disclaimer stands, but even if this doesn’t ring any bells for you, I’m glad to have you here.
So the Page of Pentacles flew out of the deck on the first couple of shuffles, which gives me the sense that this is the same Page of Pentacles that popped up all over last weeks’ reads. There has been a shift in context for this Page, seen in the four of wands reversed, which can either transition into or prevent a coming change, depending on the strength of surrounding influence. The adventurous Page of Pents, full of excitement to get started manifesting their dreams into material reality, may be coming up against resistance to these plans by the very people around them that usually show support. Perhaps this change in direction might highlight the differences between them and their main social group or perhaps their family—people with lots of opinions and an overwhelming reluctance to see the Page make up their own mind and go against the flow. It may not be an active conflict, but tension and lack of clear communication—or a growing disconnect for the Page between their true self and the collective agreements of the group in question, a rift that grows with the Page’s conviction and need to set out on this different path. It’s a lot harder to block out the haters when they’re supposed to be your beloved friends, and if you’re not somewhat confident in yourself, listening to their doubts could prevent meaningful change. Although they are setting out to do something with the potential to bring in coin, if this Page can get on the road and stay there, they will find the love for which they are yearning and be transformed by it, into a Page of Cups.
The Page of Cups is someone in their heart era, allowing their inner child opportunities to steer according to the reflective road signs of intuition. It has been so long since the Page of Pentacles has been delighted that it would do their soul a kindness to make this change and allow themselves to imagine the possibilities. To do this, though, they will need to believe in themselves and not let the grouchy naysayers of the reversed 4 of Wands deflate their dreams of a more loving existence. There’s no major arcana here so the outcome—blockage or breakthrough—is 50-50. It just depends on how much this Page of Pents has already put up with, and whether they subconsciously want these reluctant, crabby jerks to drag them back down so they don’t have to pay an exit toll in the form of shunning or excommunication.
Once upon a time, I stayed too long in an extremely crappy job after passing up a great opportunity to do something different, because I was too scared of change. This was in part due to the dynamics of the workplace being very similar to my family’s hostile and abusive patterns, and I hadn’t worked through my trauma yet, so it’s natural that I gravitated to what I was used to and what I thought I deserved. I learned from that choice eventually, but not until I had fully absorbed that I deserved better, and that took a significant amount of time—so if this reading is for you, and the unsupportive friends/family/surrogate or substitute family around you are giving you reasons and room to doubt, believe me when I say I get that. While my guidance is very much in favor of you, the individual who sees themselves in the reading, growing and learning and getting what they want most, the only person who can take action over your life is you, and that readiness is individual. Just know that the popularity or unpopularity of your goals/dreams/personal trajectory among your various people isn’t any of your business. It’s your life; your humble energy reader here doesn’t get a vote, Theresa from your knitting circle doesn’t get a vote, and unless she’s funding your entire lifestyle, your mom doesn’t get a vote, either. The opinions of many may have the potential to dilute your essence. Your alignment, self-possession, and ultimately happiness are all quite important, so guard your heart and listen to what it tells you.
Thank you for being here today, and just being. You are important, you are special, and you are loved. Go with peace, and remember, you are always welcome at my kitchen table. -KTT 🌻💛
P.S.: I’m going to include this bonus read in case this does resonate and you’d like a little more guidance.

The Moon, 7 of Pentacles, Knight of Pentacles
The moon reflects the sun, but its light is weak. It does not possess the internal power to create its own radiance, so it will never illuminate as clearly, and furthermore that light will leach the color from whatever it touches. Moonlight hides more than it reveals. It invokes a dreamlike state where reality wobbles and illusion sneaks in through the unguarded spaces. One’s intuition can go haywire, like a compass swinging in the presence of a pole. Be wary of the secrets you are keeping, for whom, and why. Interrogate yourself until you find your inner voice, the one you can follow to get out of the night and be safely delivered into daytime. The moon could represent the wrong choice. If you’ve been told that any light is good enough to see by, that you should be as grateful for poor visibility as for good, then maybe you’ve made that choice to seem more capable and less afraid. Choose the sun. It takes more bravery but it will bring everything to the surface. Don’t make your heart a secret.
Harvesting the fruits of your labor is still work, so even though planting went great and the crops grew well, the 7 of Pentacles indicates that more labor remains. Reflect on the trajectory of this work—when you are discouraged because yet more work lays ahead, consider how much you’ve done. In reality, we have to accept that the work is never truly “done”—there will always be dishes to wash, obligations to fill, and emotional issues to regulate. How you approach this work and follow through with it will make a difference in how you align with yourself. (Question to ask yourself: do I feel like me? I.e. what is your baseline neutral/content?) When you are in touch with your intuition and yourself you’ll have less of an issue being grateful for the work ahead as it says so much about how far you’ve come. You’ll recall the way winter has been easier each subsequent year from the first time you were responsible for managing the farm operation, and now this growth makes the upcoming harvest the least difficult yet. You are more capable than you give yourself credit for. Acknowledge for yourself that it is hard, but pat yourself on the back for coming this far. Spiritually, you will be nourished. And though asking for help at harvest time is totally legit—you are one person and time isn’t always on your side—be careful who you trust to help with your work, whether spiritual or material in nature. Don’t let anyone take credit for and lay claim upon the product of your harvest. Especially if their energy is one that reverbs with moon energy—have they ever tried to influence you into overriding your intuition? If so, be wary. This isn’t something they need to help you with.
The Knight of Pentacles backs up the 7 of pentacles, even going so far as to suggest that this harvest is solo work, no matter how much you might trust the people around you. If it’s work that would not be accepted by those folks—maybe it requires leaving a job, an association, a relationship, or a church—that calls for the stoic approach of a knight. This could be a sign that this group is toxic for you and you know it, but haven’t found the impetus to really get up off the gross, sticky couch and get moving toward a better quality of friends/peers/chairs. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it. You’re not being dodgy if you have to work in secret to save your own soul. Don’t let any of these naysayers drown you in their nays. Work your ass off to free yourself and you will grow back into your own soul, align with your values, and get back on the road to your best possible future.
